OIT’s Strategic Goals Aim for a Best-in-Class Experience
At the first All Staff meeting of 2023, OIT Director and Chief Information Officer Rajiv Uppal unveiled a strategic plan that unifies all of the office’s operations into five goals. The OIT Front Office designed these goals to create a best-in-class experience for OIT staff and all of our CMS stakeholders.
Over the next several weeks, PlanetOIT will publish several articles that explain in more depth how OIT products and projects advance each of the strategy’s five goals as listed below.
Goal 1: Ensure that every person feels empowered to make decisions to further our mission and has the ability to do so.
Goal 2: Mature IT management and governance.
Goal 3: Deliver a seamless end-user experience with our products and services.
Goal 4: Enable CMS programs by delivering modern systems and capabilities.
Goal 5: Modernize, protect, and streamline IT infrastructure to deliver the best experience to our customers.

By following through on these goals, we can deliver on our mission while reducing burden and streamlining compliance requirements. Moreover, these overarching goals will help us to see across the boundaries of groups and divisions that can sometimes create separate experiences for employees in different parts of our organization.
The strategic goals should serve as reminders to occasionally zoom out and look at the big picture. Training our focus on these goals will help us to work as one OIT where we are all pulling together in the same direction.
